EliteLenny's Recommended - Tom Clancy's Endwar (PC)

So what exactly are the things I'd recommend personally? I'm definitely putting down one PC game that's worked exactly to my taste when it comes to real-time strategy, and since this might actually work when it comes to movement realism as well, assuming every unit in the RTS is actually on point to said movement...

(Tom Clancy's EndWar™)

For a game that I would think would be ahead of its time, I didn't think that in 2019, it would be a significant RTS game. For a game meant for consoles in 2008, it got its PC release in 2009 for the PC/Windows platform. And for a game like this to exist for a long time? It would mean that there was a big significance from its release. Could it have been thought of as a draft for future RTS games like XCOM? This is a question I still couldn't answer to this day. This game however, I can recommend against other RTS games that are sharper in its detail to this day like Company of Heroes and Hearts Of Iron.

Let's route right to the background story of this game... There are three factions in the fiction game world, each belonging to nations comprised of the United States of America, the European Union, and the Russian Federation. As to how the story would begin, it would be very typical...

The collapse of probably the world's most important oil resource rich in Middle Eastern nations because of very problematic terrorism rampancy in the same areas becomes noticeably apparent. The world's movement into finding resources becomes completely different since every nation dependent on oil would have to find other ways to obtain them. But in man's nature, it's always warfare that would be the final solution to obtain territory where these resources are available. This is one of the trigger points to how man's nature in preserving their culture becomes important, thus... modernization of weaponry and keeping the right alliances...

The chilling reality to seeking an end to nuclear war, is that there is another way to do damage. The Joint US-European Missile Shield prevents missiles as a deterrent, to act properly since every single one can be intercepted by the Missile Shield. This works as both a treaty, and an anti-nuclear missile system. This ends nuclear war at its best. But does it really stop corruption by nuclear warfare? It doesn't. Until there is uncertainty, there would always be ways to preserve culture, using your own fear to be dominant over the other.

Russia, as the remaining superior nation with the most amount of produced oil in the world begins an arms race which seeks to rival the weapons of the United States, and that of Europe. It wasn't just about protection of their resource that is the reason for why they started this arms race in the first place.

Europe itself having a bigger Gross National Product than that of the United States of America also had its own show of arms and development at this time of uncertainty...

And the United States' show of space superiority became apparent with their Military Space Station, the Freedom Star. This was being openly criticized by Europe since this would not only be physically be on par with the missile shield that the U.S. and Europe had put together, but the Freedom Star would also bypass the shield as well. This in turn forced Europe to leave the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in protest.

This is where the story would start to mold into a terrible beginning into World War 3 between the three sides. As to how it started, it was important to get the perspective of the three sides in a batch of prologue missions. From events that shaped from a terrorist group into attacking all sides...

...to a conspiracy that involved a European Prime Minister to be involved as the terrorist group's financier.

The U.S. and Europe are the first to get into tensions. But it was Russia, the last to be attacked by the group, to actually be the forerunner of the Forgotten Army (the terrorist group). They supplied the weapons as well as the tactics and existence of the Forgotten Army. And this same financing faction was also responsible for starting World War 3 by uploading a virus to the missile shield that by the same Freedom Star's new modules have been launched, the shuttle carrying both the modules and the newest staff to the station have been obliterated by the missile shield, seeing the final event of an explosion of the rocket and the shuttle that shocked everyone. Europe was blamed by the U.S. for the missile shield's malfunction or authorized attack against the Freedom Star, thus inciting war. Russia wasn't just sitting behind, since they also acted and declared war on the other two sides. Thus, this was the beginning of World War 3...

To tell why I liked this game from the beginning is not just because of its gameplay, but the story as well. It reflects on the entirety of the game and it does give advantage when it comes to how each unit of each faction reacts in terms of the war... thus giving uniqueness to how characters and vehicles are given roles in the overall game...

The reason why I'd recommend it is because there's flexibility in how your playstyle could be in the game. Because the player can either use the microphone or not.

If ya guys like to have more input from me about this game such as technicality and the modes that can be played, leave a comment below! I'm only putting this blog as a recommendation that you play the game. I had plenty of fun in the game and I was only making sure to put my head into how the game runs that I would learn how to play it. :) I'll be happy to include another post of how to play the game. ^_^

Happy trails, folks. :)

Been a while... Nothing from Aria yet? [Introduction and thoughts about Aria the Scarlet Ammo, Double A]

Yo, what is up?! This is EliteLenny reporting for duty... and I think this is the very first time I'm actually doing the blog post about an anime review. I guess it's better than the YouTube-style reviews? I guess it's fine! ^_^

This serves as a warning by the way. If you haven't watched the anime described in the blog, please turn away, because it could contain spoilers. I've done all I can in minimizing the spoilers here, but they're summaries! Still... There still are! You've been warned!

So... The first thing I want to point out is that I like story content so much since I'm practically a writer. I'm not the full-employed and full-dreamer writer, but I'm more of a fan fiction writer at best. Why? It's because there are stories that still need to be finished, and I enjoy writing unfinished stories at best!

The first Strike Witches movie that included the 501st joint fighter wing could have been continued! But where was it? NOWHERE!

BUT, that's enough about that. What I'm really going to talk about is NOT Strike Witches the movie... though I'm still trying to write a story after the movie's timeline happened...

What I want to talk about, is "Aria The Scarlet Ammo, Double A."

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA... Let's get cracking!

I want to voice out my opinion on the plot itself, as well as the characters. It starts with a character that's first centralized in the anime. Then it's followed by the protagonist. They're pretty much different, since the view of the audience is focused on the protagonist more. This challenges the audience into thinking of the situation of the centralized character, and I like that best on anime and on any story involving mystery and action. One good example from that subject is the plot put on "Chaos;Child." But I'll leave it to you guys to decide if it's close to that! ;)

The other thing I want to voice out is... why the anime series was able to get a spin-off and NOT a sequel. There should be at least a way to squeeze the stories into a series, right? 12 episodes on the original A.S.A. anime and as well as the A.S.A. AA too. Isn't that a waste of time especially when it comes to animating separately? I mean, what does that bring? Separate gaps! Well, COME ON!!! I don't settle for big gaps in the anime series!!

Maybe I shouldn't be writing this. I'm going to rant about how the animators of the greatest anime are only contractors and not full-

Let's continue!

I do like the how the plot went from being mysterious on the part of the protagonist, to the point she has to accept what or who she is, and know she's not alone. Because her type of personality needs motivation and dependence towards friends. That's how to grow, at least! ;) The centralized character is more into "only-necessary coordination" with others and solo-fighting. The centralized character and main protagonist are VERY different in almost all ways, but the thing about them, is that they both learn from that they know and what they're yet to face. That's why the protagonist needed advice and training from the centralized character. Now... I like that kind of relationship.

Where the hell is the proper prequel or sequel?

Unfortunately, from the original Aria the Scarlet Ammo, there isn't a sequel. The AA variant is only a spin-off and definitely a sign that there will never be a sequel at all, which is huge waste of my time in writing this blog. Now... if you'll excuse me, I have to save Chaos;Child and Strike Witches from being forgotten. Signing out!
